Whole Grain Bread Recipes

The whole grain bread recipes need some common flour to be able to grow and be baked. These high fiber bread recipes can be difficult to work because whole grain flour is very hard to work and bakeries usually add a good portion of common flour to make them easier to do.

You’ll need (4 people):

• 1 cup of wheat flour

• 1/2 cup of whole grain flour

• 1 cup of water

• 1 tablespoon of dry yeast for bread

• 1.5 coffespoons of salt

Mix the salt together wth the flours. Blend the yeast in the warmed water and put it all inside your processor or bread machine bowl. Select the program to whole grain bread.

Otherwise you can use a wonderful mixer, just as the one you see aside. It's on my wish list ;-) Click here or on the picture to know more details about it.

I do not recommend you to work the bread dough manually. Specially using whole wheat flour, as it is harder to work.

The secret to a soft and crispy bread is how much (and how well) you work the dough.

KitchenAid

Create new bread recipes varying the flours and adding some sesame seed at the beginning of baking and some fennel seeds if you like its taste.

If you need a bread machine (it works the dough and bakes it), this Breadman model is able to work with 100% whole wheat.
