Panna Cotta Recipe
Panna cotta recipe, this Italian cream pudding became very popular in Italy during the last years. Quite every restaurant offer it on their menu.
This recipe is simple and it looks like a cream pudding that is served with different toppings, like chocolate or red fruits sauce. In English, it literally means "baked cream".
In traditional restaurants you will find it homemade, easily recognizable by its shape and texture. These are often the best ones, even if there are some industrialized ones that are very tasty too.
You'll need (4 people):
• 3 cups of milk cream
• 1 cup of milk
• 1/2 cup of sugar • a couple of gelatine leaves • a vanilla stick
How to prepare:Place the vanilla together with the sugar and the milk cream on a medium/low gas stove plate. Stir until the sugar dissolves. |

Put the gelatine sheets in fresh water to soften for a few minutes.
Add the fresh milk to the milk cream and the gelatine sheets (well squeezed).
Pour the mixture into one (or individual) moistened cake pans (being moist prevents the cream adhering to the pans), and leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
It is mostly served with a strawberry sauce. To prepare it, just put some fruits (cleaned and washed) in a pan with a couple of spoons of sugar and half a glass of water and allow it to cook until it thickens.
