Italian natural water

Drink Italian natural water that flows from the 122 fountains of Venice!

The Venice autorities launch a campaign on June 3rd (2008) against the bottled water. They are going to distribute plastic bottles together with a map of the 122 fountains in Venice inviting people to re-use the same bottle and drink the public water.

The campaign is called 100% public, and intend to turn people's mind into consuming the public water instead of buying it.

Italians spend about € 0,26 for a liter of bottled water agains € 0,09 of the public one. The public one is controlled and perfectly appropriate for use.

Italian natural water

The date of June 3rd was chosen for being the Environment World Day. People must be educated not to use and throw away tons of plastic bottles that becomes a problem for the environment other than being a cost for the government.

The slogan is use and re-use me, instead of the common use and throw away. These bottles will certainly allow the thousands of tourists present in Venice in this period to quench their thirsty without spending a cent.

Venice will be the first Italian city to launch this campaign that is meant to be spread all over the country. The bottles that are going to be distributed will have a label that instead of a brand will contain the chemical analysis of the public water.
