Italian drinks for children

by lori
(pa)

My son is learning about Italy in school and I was asked about bring in drinks for the class. Are there any other kid-friendly drinks, besides water, that the kids in Italy would consider a traditional drink? Grape Juice?

Hi Lori!
Yes, there are other kid-friendly drinks here in Italy other than simple water. The best known one is fruit juice, even if grape juice is the less known and drunk.
Usually the juices are not fresh-made, unforttunately, but industrialized ones are very good and contains a high percentile of fruit (some reach 60%).

The best known ones are pear and peach ones, as they are sweet and are given also to very small children. During the last years there have been such a new "wave" of new flavours, mixing two or more fruits, such as the most popular one, ACE, with orange and carrot juice. It's very tasty even if less dense than pear, peach and apricot ones.
All the best, Lori.
