How to prepare an easy fresh strawberry pie recipe in a few steps.

This fresh strawberry pie recipe is perfect for Springtime, when strawberries are at their best and will fill your kitchen with a delicious aroma.

I've just read on the Italian newspaper about an English research published on the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, that shows how the fruit intake (they used strawberries for the research) is able to control the rapid increase of the lipids and some negative sides of it.

According to the British Journal of Nutrition, 150gr/about half cup of fruit puree with 35gr/2 tablespoons of sugar results in a more gradual increase of glycemia compared to sugar taken alone by itself.

I've seen that often an strawberry tart recipes does not include any glaze. Personally I believe it's an important ingredient, as fresh fruit will soon look like burnt after a while into the fridge. The glaze will keep them brillant and inviting.

Ingredients:

• 1 pasta frolla recipe (find it as tart recipes clicking here)

• 1 custard pie recipe

• fresh strawberries enough to cover the crust as you see on the photo aside

How to prepare it:

Prepare the pasta frolla and roll it out on a round oven pan. Make some holes with a fork (to avoid having air bubles) and put it into pre-heated oven (180°C/350°F) until it become lightly coloured. Let it cold outside the oven.

Wash the berries and cut the leaves and any hard part you may find. Dry them carefully.

Prepare the custard following our recipe or use Jello one and put it on the pie crust.

Decorate with the strawberries and after all add the clear jel as the glaze will keep the strawberries fresh and inviting for long.

You can also prepare small fresh fruit pies as you can see aside.
