Considering Italian usually have an espresso coffee or a cappuccino with a cornetto for breakfast, the more interesting dishes are usually served for lunch and for dinner.

Everyday Italian recipes may vary from region to region, following the local customs.

For example, in Romagna region, it is very common to eat

piadina (the local flat bread), served with raw sausage, rocket, Prosciutto di Parma and stracchino o squaquerello soft cheese, as you can see on this photo aside (I ate it in Repubblica di San Marino at Righi trattoria).

Probably the most common dish all over Italy is pasta with tomato sauce. It can be found in each part of Italy

and it could be considered the "bread and butter" of the Italian cuisine.

Considering the families where the mother still stays at home and prepare the meals, it is common to vary first dishes among pasta, risotto recipes, homemade soups and homemade beef broth.

Recently a new recipe for beef became very popular. It is called tagliata and is served with grilled vegetables as you can see aside, or with Grana cheese, rocket and extra virgin olive oil.

I ate this inviting dish you see aside in Repubblica di San Marino, a State inside Italy, close to Adriatic Sea.

Especially during Summertime, it is very common to eat roasted fish. Usually it is cooked with quite no spices and its taste depends on its freshness.

Roasted potatoes are also a very popular side dish, anywhere in Italy.

But...it always include a good espresso coffee to complete each meal :-)
