Ciabatta Recipe

This ciabatta recipe is the easiest bread recipe at all! You don't have to work the dough, you don't have to use a bread machine or any other tool.

ciabatta recipe

A friend gave me this recipe a couple of years ago, knowing that I love to prepare bread and that I'd certainly enjoy this recipe.

You can prepare it just one hour before eating. If you have the chance of preparing it a little bit earlier, it is even better because you will give the dough more time to prove dough.

If you do not eat all the bread at once, keep the remaining bread inside a plastic bag and just warm it before eating it again.

Ingredients:

• 4 + 1/4 cups of all purpose flour

• 1 1/2 cups of warm water

• 0.5 ounces of yeast

• 1 tea spoon of salt

• 1 tea spoon of honey

How to prepare it:

Take part of the water and melt the yeast together with the honey.

In a bowl, put the all purpose flour, the melted yeast and the remaining water and mix it all quickly using a fork. Then add the salt (it should never be mixed together with the yeast).

You should have a sticky, soft and not smooth dough. Powder some flour on it and leave it rest (covered with a dishtowel) for about 1 1/2 hour.

After this time lapse, transfer the dough to a flour powdered surface (maybe the oven pan) and cut it into three loafs (sometimes I cut each loaf in smaller pieces to have small pieces of ciabatta instead of loafs).

Take it to pre-heated oven (250°C/482°F) for about 30/40 minutes. Buon appetito with this ciabatta recipe! You can prepare sandwiches or serve it together with dinner or lunch. Consider that it is a bread with no preservatives and it won't keep its softness for a long time. But, as you see, this ciabatta recipe is so easy and quick to prepare that you can do it each time you desire and have always fresh and healthy bread at your table.
