I decided to add these alcoholic mixed drinks recipes here, because these famous beverages seem to carry a strong Italian atmosphere with them. So, if you're planning an Italian dinner, and you know how to make Italian drinks, you'll be successful with your guests!

The most well known is Martini. It has passed through generations and is still up to date. I remember when I arrived in Italy (1982); Martini was drunk on any occasion.

Here is a typical example. We went to many relatives' homes to invite them to our wedding and guess what? Each time they invited us for a drink, it was usually Martini!

There's another famous and very good one, Negroni. It's a little bit stronger, so put some appetizers aside for yourself and your guests!

Among the fruit drinks recipes there's a very tasty and light one, also very easy to prepare. It's the Bellini cocktail that was invented in 1948 at Harry's Bar in Venice. It was created in honor of the pink shades used by the Italian painter, Giovanni Bellini. Originally it was prepared using fresh fruit puree, but nowadays barmen usually use industrialized peach juice (in Italy they are really good). So just add 3/10 peach puree (or good quality peach juice) to 7/10 champagne and mix.

Instead of champagne you can use a good quality pro secco.
